Columbia University faculty and instructors and invited to join the Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning (CCNMTL) for the RewirED Faculty Showcase of innovative uses of technology for teaching. The event will take place Friday, December 6, from 12pm to 1:30pm in Butler Library, Room 203.

We will hear lightning talks (10-15 mins each) from four of CCNMTL’s faculty partners: Herbert Ginsburg (Teachers College), Susan Jang (Teachers College), Selby Schwartz (University Writing Program), and Brent Stockwell (Biological Sciences). Each presenter will discuss his or her innovative use of technology a part of their teaching practice during the Fall 2013 semester and entertain questions from the audience.

After the faculty presentations, CCNMTL will recognize the participation of the Fall 2013 RewirED Rewards cohort in the Studio@Butler (Butler Library, Room 208). To join the RewirED Rewards cohort, faculty must have participated in at least four of the eight sessions of the Fall 2013 RewirED Series that took place at either Butler Library or the Jewish Theological Seminary. Refreshments will be served.

Past rewirED attendees are encouraged to join us and ask questions about content from any of the prior eight sessions. Best practices that emerged throughout the semester will be highlighted, as well as information about the Spring 2014 rewirED sessions.

RSVP required.
