superscript_fall_2013_cover.jpgThe cover article of the Fall 2013-Winter 2014 issue of Superscript, the magazine of the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences at Columbia University (GSAS), discusses CCNMTL’s collaboration with the GSAS Teaching Center on efforts to prepare doctoral students for teaching in the 21st century.

The article, “Bringing Pedagogy into the 21st Century: The GSAS Teaching Center and the Science of Teaching and Learning,” highlights the Teagle Summer Institute, a training program for graduate students offered by CCNMTL and the GSAS Teaching Center. Michael Cennamo and Adrienne Garber, both educational technologists at CCNMTL who presented at the Teagle Summer Institute, were featured. The piece’s author, Alexander Gelfand, also provides an history of teaching and learning support at the University and an adept synopsis of the current landscape of higher education and digital learning.
