Class Files
Q: Is there a way to post all of my course files at one time?
- You can upload multiple documents at one time using a "Zip" utility. Merge (or "archive") all your files into a zip file using a utility such as WinZip or MacZip. When you're in the "Class Files" section you can post the file as any regular file. After submitting, CourseWorks will provide some options. To post all the files into one folder, select the "Expand in folder" option and all of the files in the archive will appear in the chosen folder.
Q: Do I have to do anything special to post files from a Mac?
- No, however, it is a good idea to make sure that all posted files have file extensions so people using Windows can open them efficiently.
Q: I downloaded and edited a file and now I want to replace the file in CourseWorks. How do I do that?
- There is currently no way to replace an existing file in the class files section. You must delete the existing file and replace it with the new one. If you linked to that file from various sections of your site, such as assignments, you will need to re-create those links.
Q: I have uploaded my files into Class Files. Can I link them to my Syllabus sessions?
- A: Yes. Click on "Class Files." To the right of your file, click the "Edit" link. In the "Associated Session" drop down list, select the session that you would like the file linked with. Click "Submit." A link to the file will now appear at the bottom of the session.
