Partner(s): Alexander Karp and Erica Walker - Teachers College

PRIME (Problem Solving in Mathematics Education) is an online community that provides strategies and discussion forums for urban teachers of K-12 mathematics. The PRIME website features over 100 math problems that can be easily downloaded and re-purposed by teachers to meet individual classroom needs. Public and private forums on the site are designed to host various topics of discussion as well as generate new problem sets. A blog features posts on current topics in mathematics education.

The project was developed in partnership with CCNMTL and the Program in Mathematics Education at Teachers College, Columbia University under the guidance of Professors Alexander Karp and Erica Walker. Graduate students of education at Teachers College will also use the site as part of their curriculum.

PRIME is funded by a grant from the Arthur Vining Davis Foundation.
