VIEW PROJECT

An NSF-funded project, LENS is an educational environment designed to illuminate the science behind nanotechnology. A series of interactive modules introduces students in the first-year General Chemistry lecture and lab course to the nanosciences using the example of the developmeng of lighting technology from the incandescent bulb to the light-emitting diode (LED). The exercises are designed to highlight the interplay between our understanding of science and new technological inventions.
