CCNMTL Launches Blogs Project

Blogs are more than online diaries. As an educational activity structured around an appropriate assignment, blogging can encourage close critical reading of texts, clarity and openness of expression before a theoretically limitless audience, and accountability for the claims one makes in a public forum. Blogs therefore have the potential to extend the classroom beyond the academy walls, facilitating students' engagement with a wider world and erasing the lines between studenthood and citizenship.

CCNMTL has created edublogs in an effort to explore blogs as tools for learning. Our Educational Technologists can help faculty identify appropriate contexts for blogging as a learning activity and then provide the necessary resources to facilitate that activity.
