Bill Keller

Bill Keller was executive editor from July 2003 and during the period of the paywall decision in 2009. He joined the Times in 1984 as a domestic correspondent in Washington, and won a Pulitzer for the paper in Moscow in 1989. He served in many roles at the Times including Johannesburg bureau chief, foreign editor, managing editor and New York Times Magazine senior writer.
