Biography: LauraSullivan

Laura Sullivan joined NPRs national desk as its crime and punishment reporter in 2004. Since then, her reporting received several honors, including Peabody, Investigative Reporters and Editors, Robert F. Kennedy, Alfred I. DuPont, and Edward R. Murrow awards. She was also the winner of the 2007 Daniel Schorr Journalism Prize. Previously, she was a reporter covering the U.S. Justice Department, the FBI, and terrorism for the Baltimore Sun in its Washington bureau. During her 10 years with the Sun , Sullivans beats included the National Security Agency, the Naval Academy , county government, and suburban coverage. She graduated from Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism.
