Along with Dr. Ambedkar, he represented the Depressed Classes at the Round Table Conference in London in 1930; he was, however, opposed to the idea of religious conversion (Dhananjay Keer, Dr. Ambedkar: Life and Mission; Bombay: Popular Prakashan, 1971 [1954], pp 144, 256).
