Jami leads the Global and Distance Learning strategic initiative at CCNMTL.

Jami's previous role was managing editor for Cornell University's ILR Review. Previous to that, she was a lecturer in the department of English at Cornell, where she taught writing-intensive courses featuring new media technology; an adjunct professor at Union Institute & University where she taught an online course for PhD students; and an Assistant Professor at Ball State University, where she taught various courses in literature and rhetorical theory.

Jami's most recent essay, "Teaching Digital Literacy, Digitally: A Collaborative Approach" comprises part of a collection entitled Dancing with Digital Natives, which was selected as a USABest Books 2011 finalist. Jami also publishes on the fiction of Nobel laureate Toni Morrison. Jami has a Ph.D. in English from University of Wisconsin; an M.A. from Cal State; and a B.A. from Gonzaga University.
