Elizabeth Manning is CCNMTL's grants officer. Before coming to the Center, she represented indigent defendants for the Legal Aid Society Criminal Appeals Bureau. From there, she joined the New York City Teaching Fellows Program, earning her M.Ed. at City College while teaching preschool, kindergarten, and third grade students at an under-performing school in the Bronx, and writing a successful proposal for the installation of a new playground. As a grant writer for a youth services nonprofit in Stamford, Elizabeth wrote numerous successful proposals providing funding for the support of homeless abused and neglected boys in the custody of Connecticut's Department of Children and Families. Elizabeth earned her B.F.A. from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
