Wikispaces Adds Inline Comments

by Daniel Beeby

Columbia's Wikispaces and Wikischolars wikis now have a new annotation feature called "comments." This new feature is the equivalent of using a Post-it note on a page. It allows for inline, contextual feedback within a page without changing the content of the page itself (see image below). The comments system leverages the wiki's discussion feature (which is where the content of comments is managed and allows for conversation around a comment).

CCNMTL staff requested and helped define this new feature and we are pleased that it is now available to all Wikispaces.com users. For full details on this feature, see the Wikispaces.com blog entry Our great new comments feature.

Try it today in your wikispaces or wikischolars sites!
