Your Digital Media Toolbox: A Faculty Guide to Using Educational Audio and Video

Columbia faculty have a range of options for using video and audio in their courses. This session provides an overview and comparison of platforms for archiving media, including Columbia on iTunes U, Columbia YouTube EDU, as well as tools and related media services available for providing podcasts and online video within CourseWorks, Wikispaces, EdBlogs. Demonstrations included how to utilize each media platform, take advantage of podcast syndication, and survey useful media creation tools such as ProfCast, Camtasia, and ScreenFlow--highlighted by examples from Columbia courses.

About the presenter: Brian O'Hagan is project manager for media services and platform initiatives, providing direction to the technologies used to support CCNMTL's audio and video services for courses at Columbia.
