Note:

Most cases in Federal courts bear little resemblance to TV courtroom dramas. The vast majority of the work developing testimony and evidence is done off-site. In particular, most witnesses are deposed (questioned) at length, and the written transcript of the deposition is then submitted as evidence. It was this process in which I was involved.
