In an interview shortly before his death, Malcolm stressed "It takes action to get some action, and this is what our people have to realize. They have to organize and become involved in well-coordinated action that will involve any means necessary to bring about complete elimination of the conditions that exist-- conditions that are actually criminal. Not only unjust, but criminal!"
