Internet Broadcasts: Commencement 2001 | |||||||||
Commencement of the 247th Academic Year, May 2001 The Center for New Media Teaching and Learning (CCNMTL) proudly broadcasts Columbia University Commencement of the 247th Academic Year. The RealVideo broadcast will be accessible from two different sources. Viewers connecting from outside the University should use the "Off-campus broadcast" which provides better performance for most. Viewers connecting within the University should use the local feed ("On-campus broadcast") which offers a higher bandwidth broadcast. CCNMTL is also providing an Internet broadcast of the Columbia College and School of Engineering Class Day proceedings. All broadcasts require the use of RealPlayer 8 Basic, which can be downloaded for free from the RealNetworks Web site. The minimum bandwidth requirements to view the broadcast is a 56K modem connection with a throughput of at least 44K. A faster connection is recommended, such as DSL or cable modem.
