Chairman of the real estate development consulting firm HR&A Advisors, Alschuler served as an early consultant to the founders of the Friends of the High Line, later becoming chairman of the group’s board of directors.  The former city manager of Santa Monica, California, had extensive experience in brokering public-private partnerships.
