Andrew Donohue went to University of Minnesota , where he worked at the school paper and held internships at the St. Paul Pioneer-Press and McClatchys Washington DC bureau. In 2001, he joined the City Hall beat at the Daily Transcript , a San Diego business newspaper. He joined Voice of San Diego as a reporter in 2004 and took over as co-editor in 2005.
