Fourth Year of NSF Funding for VITAL
June 2007 marks the beginning of the fourth of five years of National Science Foundation funding for the VITAL project. The major milestone in the coming year will be the testing of VITAL and the early mathematics curriculum at six other universities around the country. Beginning in either fall 2007 or spring 2008, a version of Prof. Herbert Ginsburg's course will be offered at Teachers College as well as the following schools: Boston University School of Education, Georgia State University College of Education, Howard University School of Education, Hunter College School of Education, Rutgers University-Newark, and the University of San Diego.
CCNMTL staff continue to develop and refine the VITAL Web environment. Additionally, VITAL now contains several hundred video clips of children and teachers that were created specifically for this project.
