Biography: David Sarasohn

David Sarasohn won several awards for his Oregonian columns, as well as the 2002 Pulliam Fellowship for Editorial Writers. He wrote a book on the Lewis and Clark bicentennial, Waiting for Lewis and Clark , which was published in 2004 by the Oregon Historical society.

Sarasohn earned a master’s in history from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and received a doctorate in history from UCLA. Before becoming a journalist, he was a professor of American history and taught at Reed College, UCLA, California State University-Northridge, and Portland State University.
