Using male condoms

Steps

1. Choose a condom:
Latex, not lambskin.
Check expiration date.

2. Open the package:
Be careful not to tear the condom.

3. Place the condom on the head of the penis:
Make sure that the reservoir tip sticks out.
Pinch the reservoir tip to let the air out.

4. Slowly unroll the condom all the way down to the base of the penis.

5. Lubricate if desired:
Water-based (e.g., KY jelly or spermicidal jelly), not oil-based (e.g., Vaseline).
A drop of lubricant inside the tip of the condom may give extra feeling.

Immediately After Ejaculation

1. Withdraw (pull put) carefully:
Hold the condom at the base of the penis before withdrawing.
Withdraw before the penis becomes flaccid (soft).

2. Roll the condom down and remove it from the penis:
Be careful that the contents of the reservoir tip do not spill.

3. Dispose of the condom in a trash can.
