The Columbia University Libraries have released a customized version of the popular LibX plugin for Firefox browsers. The LibX plugin can be customized to perform searches on the local library catalog. Once installed, LibX enables direct Columbia catalog (CLIO) searches from any web page.

LibX also add "cues" to any web page containing book titles and ISBNs. The cues are links to the local catalog or to related services such as Google Scholar or Amazon. A user guide and a video tutorial are also available.
