Home > News & Updates > CCNMTL Presents at Annual New Media Consortium Conference

June 13, 2008. On June 12 and 13, several CCNMTL staff members traveled to Princeton University to present at the 2008 New Media Consortium (NMC) conference. The annual NMC conference selects representatives from colleges, universities, research centers, museums, and other learning institutions to present on topics relevant to the integration of emerging technologies into teaching, learning, and creative expression. CCNMTL staff members led sessions entitled, "Simulations in Global Humanitarian Aid and Sustainable Development," and "Mapping the African American Past - iPhone Experiment." During these sessions, staff members introduced the technology behind projects, like Relief Sim, Millennium Village Simulation, and Mapping the African American Past, and discussed the educational application of the projects at Columbia University and beyond. The staff also contributed to a couple posters sessions held during the conference.
