CU Public Affairs Now Managing Columbia YouTube Channel

Home > News & Updates > CU Public Affairs Now Managing Columbia YouTube Channel

As of October 1, Columbia University’s Office of Communications and Public Affairs will manage all content on the Columbia University YouTube channel. Columbia departments, individuals, and groups should now email requests to upload videos to the YouTube channel to Public Affairs at youtube@columbia.edu.

The Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning managed processing and uploading videos on Columbia’s YouTube channel since it’s creation in 2009. The channel gives faculty, students, and the public access to Columbia-produced academic videos. It now has approximately 14,000 subscribers and over 3 million views. The transfer will allow the Office of Communications and Public Affairs to directly integrate YouTube into their overall media strategy.

CCNMTL continues to maintain its own YouTube channel, which provides videos about the Center’s teaching and learning projects with Columbia faculty, tutorials for tools like Courseworks, and event and lecture recordings.
