student.jpg February 17, 2010. Columbia on iTunes U now features two audio tours offered in multiple languages, giving visitors to the University and students the ability to listen and learn about Columbia's historic campus in a non-English language. The C.V. Starr East Asian Library provides a podcasted tour of the library and its various collections with both a historical account of the library's development over 100 years and a full overview of its offerings. The nearly 8-minute podcast created by librarians from the C.V. Starr East Asian Library is available in English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Tibetan. Access this audio tour in iTunes U.

The Columbia Culture Map Audio Tour is another podcast offered in several languages. This podcasted audio tour showcases 12 landmarks at the University that have contributed to the worlds of sculpture, architecture, literature, film, theater, and more. Sponsored in part by the Arts Initiative at Columbia University and funded by the Gastby Charitable Foundation, the audio tour is offered in English, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and is a companion to the walking tour and map available at ColumbiaCultureMap.org.
