May 6, 2008. CCNMTL will release the Columbia iTunes U site in September 2008 allowing students to easily search, download, and play course content just like they do music and movies. The Columbia iTunes U will contain much of the media now available at the Podcasting @ Columbia site and will focus on course content. CCNMTL staff will work with instructors to create new podcasts of lectures, seminars, guest speakers, interviews, and more to be posted on iTunes U. After the initial release, we hope to get submissions from different administrative and academic areas for non-course content, such as conferences, athletic events, community news, and alumni information, that will serve the greater Columbia community.
