projectrebirth.jpgFebruary 11, 2011. CCNMTL partner Project Rebirth premiered its feature-length film REBIRTH in the new Documentary Premieres section of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival this past January. Directed by Jim Whitaker, REBIRTH, follows nine people coping with the aftermath of 9/11 and chronicles the rebuilding of the World Trade Center.

CCNMTL and Georgetown University collaborated with the Project Rebirth organization to create an educational initiative in which students, researcher, and practitioners could explore and learn from the REBIRTH documentary. Students studying a range of subjects at Columbia—including social work, psychology, and film—have engaged with raw REBIRTH footage using CCNMTL's video analysis tool, VITAL.
