Taught by Ian Bent, Anne Parsons Bender Professor of Music and an expert on Arnold Schoenberg, this seminar examines the life of the composer and his relationship to the Modernist movement. Schoenberg and Modernism explores the significance and influence of Schoenberg's Pierrot lunaire as one of the seminal works of twentieth-century music and a landmark of musical modernism.
