Biography: Oscar Corral

Reporter Oscar Corral joined the Miami Herald in 2001. He was assigned to cover the city of Miami, and then Senator Joseph Lieberman's presidential campaign (primary). In 2004, he was transferred to cover Cuban-American politics. Corral was born in the US of Cuban parents. In 2006, he was 31. Before joining the Herald , he worked for three years at Newsday , and was a reporting intern at the Chicago Tribune .

Corral graduated from Florida University and earned a master's degree in international relations from Florida International University.
