VITAL at Discovery Research K-12

Frank Moretti and Michael Preston of CCNMTL attended NSF's Discovery Research K-12 annual PI meeting in Arlington, VA, and presented a poster on the VITAL Web environment, pedagogy, and evaluation. The conference was attended by representatives of nearly 140 projects to improve teaching, learning, and research in the STEM subject areas (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). The conference theme was "Transition to the Future," and the presentations and discussions focused on how new technologies have changed teaching and learning in STEM, and on new assessments for changing modalities of teacher and student interaction.
