This week iTunes U is featuring Columbia Microbiology professor Vincent Racaniello’s Virology course, one of the first at Columbia to use the new iTunes U Courses feature to distribute course content. With this feature, both students enrolled in his course and the general public can access course content through the iTunes U app on an iPad or iPhone or through iTunes. The course includes video, audio, documents, and related weblinks for 15 lectures.

The Columbia on iTunes U team is working with Dr. Racaniello to gauge how both instructors and students can use the new iTunes U app. Columbia instructors interested in experimenting with the new iTunes U can email ccnmtl-itunesu@columbia.edu to set up a consultation.
