November 9, 2007. The Bookmarking & the Libraries workshop will build on the "Effectively Use RSS for Teaching" workshop offered on November 14 and 15, but attendance at the earlier session is not required. During the Bookmarking and the Libraries session, faculty will learn how to create their own collection of useful links using a bookmarking tool called Delicious (https://del.icio.us). In the context of Delicious, a "bookmark" is not only a eb address; it also carries tags and notes, which make it easy to search and categorize your links. These categorized and tagged bookmark collections can be used for research, teaching, or group-work and can be fed directly into CourseWorks, Wikispaces, or other applications (like email or Google Reader) using RSS.
Workshops are held in the CCNMTL Faculty Lab in Butler Library 204 on:
November 28, 2007, Wednesday 4:00 pm
November 29, 2007, Thursday 4:00 pm
Refreshments will be served. Register here.
