The National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) has published a paper by Teachers College Professor Herb Ginsburg, CCNMTL Educational Technologist Michael Preston, David VanEsselstyn, and others titled "Learning to Think about Early Childhood Mathematics Education." The paper, part of the monograph "Challenging Young Children Mathematically," discusses Professor Ginsburg's course on the development of mathematical thinking, including the need for the course, the development of its structure and methods, and the use of Video Interactions for Teaching and Learning (VITAL).
