On Tuesday morning, August 9th, VITAL (Video Interactions for Teaching & Learning) will be unavailable between 9:30am and 12:30pm due to scheduled maintenance and upgrades. During this time a number of improvements will be made to the environment, including:

  • Removed character limits from various text areas
  • Improved notification warnings to prevent loss of work
  • Updated help pages
  • Improved handling of the "Reset Assignment" feature for instructors
  • Integration with new student video submission option (Wardenclyffe)
  • TinyMCE editor upgraded to latest version, including MS Word paste
  • Error and log file cleanup
  • Dynamic semester selection

A planned change to move the database to Oracle 11 will be performed at a future date.
