You’ve heard of ebooks and maybe even read a few, but did you know that you can create your own custom ebooks using Apple’s iBooks Author? At a workshop at the Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning on May 27, Kelly Gillis (CBS ‘06) of Apple Inc. will show how higher education faculty are using iBooks Author as a tool to create and publish Multi-Touch books and other course materials for Mac and iPad.

In addition to showing off content that has already been published, this workshop will include a short demo of iBooks Author so Columbia faculty and instructors can begin thinking of great projects for a class or department.
