Columbia Daily Spectator writer Josh Hirschland discussed Professor Mark Phillipson's presentation about implementing wikis at Bowdoin College at the University Seminar in New Media Teaching and Learning. Hirschland suggests that wikis could "revolutionize" courses in Columbia College's core curriculum by fostering a sense of community and encouraging students to engage in active discussions: "Wikis have the potential to provide a democratic forum for lively debate beyond the classroom."
