Sakai: The New CourseWorks

Sakai is Columbia's next CourseWorks. It has a number of powerful new features that will help instructors administer their courses (e.g. calendaring, announcements, and assignments) and engage their students collaboratively (e.g. blogs, wikis, and file-sharing). Dan Beeby will take you on a tour of Sakai's features in the context of a fictitious Columbia course and answer questions about how the new system might handle your own, real-world teaching scenarios.
