Desktop Sharing for Demonstration, Teaching or Support

zoho_meeting.pngThere are a number of ways to "live broadcast" your desktop to audiences small and large. They include tools like VNC, Adobe Connect, Skype, iChat... the list goes on. One stands above the others for ease-of-use, cost, and compatibility: Zoho Meeting. Though one of the computers in use must be Windows-based, it is Mac/Windows compatible, free, and it works relatively well. Simply log in at http://meeting.zoho.com/ (using a Yahoo! or Google account, even) and get started. You can share your desktop with someone or use the "remote assistance" tab to set up a session that you can email to your audience. CCNMTL staff have used Zoho Meeting with clients and the results were good. The free service supports one-to-one meetings. Fee-based options supports larger gatherings.
