Virtual Techniques in Dentistry (VirTechs)

Virtual Techniques in Dentistry (VirTechs) is a multimedia laboratory procedure manual, providing students with immediate access to a collection of videos of dental procedures from Dental Anatomy and Occlusion, Pediatrics, and Endodontics. Students have the option of viewing each procedure with captions or without, and to navigate the videos by using bookmarks that indicate discrete steps within each procedure. The site emphasizes functionality and easy access to the videos, which can be viewed online or downloaded to a computer. Additionally, the procedures are available as enhanced video podcasts for use with video iPods. Each module includes PDFs of the transcript and full-color armamentarium descriptions.
