The Multimedia Study Environment (MSE) for Arthur C. Danto's 1964 essay "The Artworld" ushers the reader into the artistic and philosophical scene of the mid-1960s America. Danto sought to lay out the basic principles of his philosophy of art. The MSE includes scholarly and theoretical writings on aesthetics by Danto and others, as well as hundreds of images and archival videos that help document art theory and the arts circa 1964.
