Mapping Election History
Anyone interesting in delving deeper into the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign will find a new site released by the Digital Scholarship Lab at the University of Richmond of some interest. Voting America is a mapping site that allows users to study interactive maps that chart voting patterns and, where information is available, county-by-county data in U.S. presidential elections since 1840. The site also contain expert analysis and commentary from history scholars on topics ranging from regional voting history to shifting voting patterns over time.
