Dr. Alvaro Dulce practiced as a medical doctor in rural areas. That experience led him to take a more comprehensive approach to human development that included family medicine and community social work. Before joining Fundación Carvajal in 2006, he worked with Roberto Pizarro at the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia on social development in Valle del Cauca.
