Biography: Susan Goldberg
Susan Goldberg was the first female editor of the Plain Dealer , a position she assumed in May 2007. Prior to taking this job, she had been executive editor and vice president of the San Jose Mercury News. Her experience also includes 10 years as an editor at USA Today ; she was also a reporter and an assistant editor at the Detroit Free Press . Goldberg quit college when a summer internship after her junior year at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer turned into a full-time job. She completed her bachelor’s degree 10 years later at Michigan State University.
