Biography: HarrietNuwagaba-Biribonwoha

Dr. Harriet Nuwagaba-Biribonwoha was ICAP research director in Swaziland and an instructor in epidemiology at Columbia University. In addition to managing ICAPs Swaziland research portfolio, she implemented a health research training program and led the fellows in the Swaziland Health Research Training Program (HRTP), mentoring mid-career professionals within the Ministry of Health. Before coming to Swaziland, Nuwagaba-Biribonwoha created monitoring and evaluation systems for ICAP in sub-Saharan Africa. She began her career practicing medicine in Uganda. Nuwagaba-Biribonwoha earned a doctorate in epidemiology from Oxford University and her medical degree from Makerere University (1999).
