Drop.io: Sharing Files Privately

A new free service from Drop.io offers a private space (called a drop) to share files privately. There are no accounts, email addresses or registrations necessary to create a drop. Each drop has a URL, such as this sample created for this entry: http://drop.io/boxstop. Besides uploading files via the web, files can be sent to the drop space via an email attachment using the drop's email address.

There are so many possible uses for such a private space that you may soon go over the 100MB limit for free accounts. For $10 per year, you can upgrade to 1GB or if you really need space, 10GB will cost $100 per year.

You can also turn your drop into a service called Paywall which allow for subscription-based access to your digital assets. Payments are made via Amazon's accounts.
