Mark Katches was the assistant managing editor for projects and investigations at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel . He joined the Journal Sentinel in November 2006 and helped build a 10-person watchdog team. He previously worked at the Orange County Register as Senior Team leader, where he twice managed projects that were finalists for the Pulitzer Prize.
