Mendeley Desktop is a free software application that indexes and organizes all of your PDF documents and research papers into a personal digital library. Similar to the previously EnhancED Noted entries Papers for Mac and Zotero, Mendeley allows you to quickly import citations from many sources. It automatically extracts bibliographic data, keywords, and cited references and turns them into a searchable full-text database. The software runs on Windows, Mac OSX and Linux, and has word processor plug-ins.
