Biography: Rita Hibbard
Rita Hibbard, born in Vancouver, Washington, had studied journalism at the University of Washington and worked as a reporter at the Spokane Spokesman-Review and the Lewiston Morning Tribune in Idaho before moving to the Post-Intelligencer in 1982. She worked as a medical, health and science reporter during the early years of the AIDS crisis, and was assistant managing editor for news and investigations when the paper closed.
