Biography: StephenDeere
Stephen Deere graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's in journalism in 2000. He then went to work as an education reporter in Abilene, Texas for a year before heading off to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock. After nearly three years, he moved on to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel where he spent a year and a half. In 2000, he won the Missouri Associated Press Managing Editors Award for feature writing, and was a runner up for the same award in Texas a year later.
Deere joined the Post-Dispatch as a general assignment reporter in July 2006. He lives in the Tower Grove nieghborhood in St. Louis with his golden retriever, Parker.
